Your pond stays in your browser
Guppy Vitality Lab is a toy. It is built to need nothing from you and to keep nothing about you.
What we do (and don't) collect
- No accounts, no sign-in, no authentication.
- No real user modeling, profiling, or operator-state scoring of any kind.
- No backend database โ nothing about your session is stored on a server.
- The simulation runs entirely in your browser. Closing the tab clears it.
- Usage analytics are aggregate and privacy-friendly: Vercel Web Analytics counts anonymous page views and referrers โ no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal data, and nothing tied to you.
- The only thing you can choose to send is a 'Copy share seed' link, which encodes the pond's seed and slider settings (no personal data) so a friend opens the same pond.
Share links
The Copy share seed button builds a link with the pond's random seed and your slider settings encoded in the URL fragment (after the #). That fragment is processed only in the browser and contains no personal information โ it just lets a friend open the same starting pond.
What this is not
- Not a measurement of any real system โ the causal-emergence math here runs only on the synthetic pond, and the on-screen 'vitality' scores are playful proxies, not even that.
- Not a clinical, diagnostic, treatment, safety, or emergency tool.
- Not a model of any real person, patient, operator, or live AI system.
- Not connected to any other project, agent, runtime, or dataset.
This page reflects the app as deployed, including the privacy-friendly Vercel Web Analytics noted above (aggregate page views, no personal data). If any other service is ever added, this page must be updated to disclose it.
